IT Auditing for non-IT Auditors Workshop

With the advancement in computing power, private and public sector organizations are turning to technology for operational requirements to collect, process, maintain, and report essential data. The reliance on electronic data and systems to make managerial decisions is a major concern for Internal Auditors. There is a need for Internal Auditors to develop adequate knowledge and skills to audit IT systems and to understand the role of Information Technology (IT) within their organizations to provide Assurance services on governance, risk management, and control processes using skills they have acquired without necessarily consulting professionals in technical IT domains. By attending this event, Internal Auditors will be equipped to provide assurance services in a digital world that is increasingly relying on IT, which now acts as an enabler to increased market speed, superior customer satisfaction, reduced costs, and other benefits that contribute to the achievement of organizational objectives. Participants will build technological capabilities to provide reliable assurance services and continue to fuel their digital transformation.

Physical Attendance: This workshop will be held from July 5-7, 2023 at the Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi. Charges are KES 40,000 and KES 45,000 exclusive of VAT for Members and Non-Members respectively. Members in attendance will earn 20 CPE Hours.

Virtual Attendance: This virtual event will be held from July 5-7, 2023 via zoom. Charges are KES 15,000 exclusive of VAT for Members and Non-Members. Members in attendance will earn 20 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is NITA/TRN/558(25b).
