As organizations become complex, more players are involved in providing different assurance measures. These organizations are presented with a problem of how to prevent management from being overwhelmed by information and reports and succumbing to "assurance fatigue". Combined assurance can address this problem by integrating and aligning assurance processes to allow senior management and Board Audit and Risk committees have a holistic view of the effectiveness of their governance, risks, and controls, prioritize and take corrective actions (SCJ Huibers, IIA CBOK Raporu, 2015).

The workshop will cover:

• Demystifying Combined Assurance.
• Combined Assurance and how it works.
• Adoption of Combined Assurance.
• Guidance and Review of Combined Assurance.
• Key steps to get started with Combined Assurance.
• Elements of Combined Assurance.
• Core principles of combined Assurance.
• Improving Risk Management through Combined Assurance.
• Implementing combined Assurance principles.
• Minimizing effects of "Audit Fatigue".

The workshop will be held from June 17-21, 2024, at SarovaWoodlands Hotel & Spa, Nakuru. Charges are KES 55,000 and KES 60,000 exclusive of VAT for members and non-members respectively. Members in attendance will earn 20 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is NITA/TRN/558(25b).
