Event: Ethics at work and in the Internal Audit Profession (Mandatory for certification holders)

Internal Auditors need to learn and refresh their knowledge about the mandatory and recommended guidance relating to ethics. Internal Auditors also need to obtain practical tips on how to avoid ethics breaches or deal with them. This workshop will employ practical examples, case studies and group exercises to explore the application of ethical principles apply and pitfalls that can arise when they are not applied properly. This workshop is a must attend for certifications holders.
The workshop will cover:
- Definition, Vocabulary and Dimension of Ethics.
- Relationship between Ethics and Values.
- Governance and management of ethics within organizations.
- Role of internal audit in assessing and promoting the ethical culture of the organization.
- Best practice guidance in Ethical decision-making.
- The Importance of the Tone at the Top in the case of business ethics.
- IIA Code of Ethics and Global Internal Audit Standards- related guidance on ethics.
- An internal audit approach to auditing ethics in the organization
- Mandatory training requirements for maintaining certification.
The workshop will be held on April 15-16, 2025, virtually via Teams. Charges are KES 15,000 and KES 20,000 exclusive of VAT for members and non-members respectively. Members in attendance will be awarded 14 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is DIT/TRN/558(25b).
