Event: Fundamentals of IT, Cyber Security, and Social Media Audits Workshop (New Training)

Organizations are increasingly facing the risk of cyberattacks with the potential to damage brands, and have disastrous financial impacts. Internal auditors are expected to have the requisite skills and expertise to assess whether their organizations are prepared to manage cyber threats that could cause disruption and damage their reputations. This workshop provides a platform for professionals to be exposed to a comprehensive overview of key cybersecurity concepts that can be used to facilitate Internal Audit efforts within their organizations, obtain an understanding of cybersecurity and common exploits, and how to use IT to conduct social media audits. The workshop examines directive, preventive, detective, corrective, and mitigating controls, and how to apply each within the audit process.

This workshop will be held from June 7-9, 2023 at the Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi.
Physical attendance:
Charges for physical attendance are KES 40,000 and KES 45,000 exclusive of VAT for Members and Non-Members respectively.
Virtual attendance:
Charges for virtual attendance are KES 15,000 exclusive of VAT for Members and Non-Members. Virtual attendees will be sent zoom link upon registration.
Continuous Professional Education (CPE):
Members in attendance will earn 20 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is DIT/TRN/558(25b).
