Chair, Board of Governors IIA Kenya & Managing Director, TeamMate Audit Solutions East & West Africa David Wagacha is currently the Chairman, Board of Governors IIA Kenya & Managing Director, TeamMate Audit Solutions East & West Africa at ASC. He has previously served as Manager, Internal/IT Audit Services/ TeamMate in East and West Africa at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Wagacha has contributed to the development of the Internal Audit profession at IIA Kenya, Africa, and other regions for over 15 years. He has been a speaker at over 30 events for leading professional bodies including IIA, ISACA, and ICPAK. He has also co-sponsored over 60 conferences at IIA Kenya and the African region. Wagacha holds several qualifications including CPA(K), CISA, CISM, BSc, and MBA.
Charles Wright, CIA
Chairman, Board of Directors IIA Global Charlie T. Wright, CIA, is 2021–22 Chairman of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Board of Directors. In this role, Wright leads the 17-member Global Board, is chair of the Supervisory Committee and presides over Global Assembly. Wright is an experienced Chief Audit Executive with more than 35 years of corporate experience in the airline, energy, and financial services industries. He has been in the internal audit profession for more than 19 years. Before becoming Global Chair, Wright’s volunteer roles at The IIA included senior vice chair, vice chair of Finance and of Professional Guidance, chair of the North American Advocacy Committee and of the Global Committee Task Force, and member of the Three Lines Model task force. Wright is also a former editor of the Risk Watch column in Internal Auditor magazine and a speaker and presenter at many IIA and other conferences.
